Disclaimer: These instructions are only needed if you use your own DHL Express contract
- Login via DHL Developer Portal (if you haven’t done this before you need to register)
- Unfold APIs in the main menu and click Browse all services
- Search for mydhl and click on DHL Express - MyDHL API
- Click on Get Access on DHL Express - MyDHL API page

Fill in your company information and click submit
5A. In the section titled "How would you like to use the API?" on the DHL registration page, select the option "I require credentials to DHL Express – MyDHL API for an existing plugin/e-commerce platform/third-party solution" and specify Sendcloud.
5B. For the "Requested Services" section, check ALL available services. The "Transaction volume per month" field is for DHL's statistical purposes and will not affect your use of the API.
- After submission you will get a confirmation that your request is under review
- After a 4-5 hours, you can check your DHL Developer profile where your App Status should show as approved. If it has not been approved, contact your DHL Express account manager.
- Next, click on DHL EXPRESS – MYDHL API under the App Name, then click the red button to request Production Access. You will receive a confirmation within minutes that your request has been submitted. The local DHL team will then need to approve it according to their timeline.
- Click Show Key under API Key and API Secret and add them in the seller interface when creating your contract.
