New Improvement of the defect score calculation: May 26, 2026
You've shared your feedback and we've listened! Based on your input, we're making two changes to how the 35-day defect score is calculated, both designed to make scoring fairer and more rewarding for you.
This update will go live on 25.5.2026.
What's changing:
- The "Other" product category is being split into 5 dedicated sub-categories — Bulky Electronics, Accessories, Gaming (Consoles), Home & Garden, and Other (Computer Components + Cameras) - each with its own individual benchmark. No more one-size-fits-all comparisons for the “Other” bucket.
- The benchmark percentile for the 35d defect rate to score translation shifts from the 50th to the 75th. What does that mean?
In practice, if your defect rate hits the average peer benchmark, instead of 12 points, you will actually receive 18 points (out of 25). A much more generous reward for solid performance.
