At refurbed we work with a product catalogue which holds all products and their variants that can be sold on refurbed marketplace. It includes product names, technical specifications, identifiers, images, descriptions etc. The product catalogue is actively maintained by refurbed’s listing team and it’s data cannot be edited by outside parties. This is to ensure consistent data quality for refurbed customers.
Every product in our catalogue has a unique internal identifier, the instance_id. Additionally, we also store as many GTIN (What is a GTIN?) as identifiers as possible to make matching the right product easier for you.
You can search the product catalogue by logging into the merchant interface and navigating to the offers section. You can either download the full catalogue (Download Catalogue) as spreadsheet or search it directly if you click on Create Offers.
If you cannot find the exact product that you want to sell please reach out to refurbed’s listing team and request the product.
On offer creation, you identify the product by instance_id or GTIN and add your offer data including your unique identifier (SKU or product code). All further interaction with offers can be done with your SKU or product code.
ℹ️ It is possible to directly create offers with GTIN as an identifier, however since we only fully trust our instance_id’s these offers need to be additionally verified in the merchant interface. You will need to log into your account and verifiy them manually. In this guide, this verification will not be necessary as we describe creating offers with instance_ids and we expect you to check everything before every step you take.
⚠️ The mapping must always be done by the seller (or at least sighted and approved) due to legal implications.
