In this article, you can find a step-by-step guide on how to set up the refurbed mapping in your Shoppingfeed account for offer creation and updates.
Refurbed lists new products in-house to assure consistent product data and fair competition for our customers via the buybox. The product variants at refurbed are called instances and receive an instance ID upon creation.
Below you can see the mapping screen in your Shoppingfeed account.
- Check refurbed’s product catalog and get all the instance IDs for the products you want to sell on refurbed. If your products are not listed, yet, please request the listing from our Listing Team (listing requirements and how to request it).
- Add a field to your products in your Shoppingfeed catalog that contains the instance IDs. You can do that via your main feed or via an additional feed (supplemental feeds are extra charged by Shoppingfeed).
- When you do the refurbed mapping in your Shoppingfeed account map the above field to the refurbed field
instance_id.
- With the correctly mapped instance IDs, Shoppingfeed will create your offers. If you don’t add the instance ID but only the gtin, then Shoppingfeed will try to create the offer with the gtin
ℹ️ If you intend to use GTIN or MPN to create offers be aware that we trust our own instance IDs more to identify a product than a GTIN and MPN, so if you create an offer directly with a GTIN or MPN the offer will be in an UNVERIFIED state and not be visible to customers unless you log into the merchant backend and verify the created offers manually (Button “Verify” will appear).
- Once the offer is created, Shoppingfeed will start updating it.
⚠️ If you don’t want Shoppingfeed to create the offers for you, you still need to add the instance ID to your products in your Shoppingfeed account. This way and in combination with the SKU, Shoppingfeed will be able to find the offer in your refurbed account and start updating it.
