1. Submit your EPR numbers to your account manager.
Germany and Austria differentiate EPR numbers for the respective product category and require a registration at the respective authority in addition to the participation to a PRO. In France the PROs issue the EPR numbers. Check out the sections and Frequently Asked Questions for more information and guidance upon registration.
Germany
For 📦 Packaging “LUCID Nr.”
For 📱 WEEE “WEEE-Reg.-Nr. DE”
For 🔋 Batteries “Batt-Reg.-Nr. DE”
→ legal notices issued by authority.
Austria
For 📱 WEEE & 🔋 Batteries “GLN Nr”
For 📦 packaging, the PRO Number “VKS Nr” applies.
2. Ensure you are signed up with a PRO (Producer Responsibility Organisation).
These are private businesses through which the producer (based on the materials and volumes) of the EPR products pays the applicable amount in advance. Through this, the “take-back” obligation is fulfilled.
Each member state has at least 2 Consulting businesses and Producer Responsibility Organisations (”PRO”) per or for all categories to choose from. In 🇫🇷France and 🇩🇪Germany, these certificates also contain the EPR number, while in Austria they usually only provide a participant number (”VKS number”) that can be checked online.
❗By selling on refurbed, you confirm that you meet all your EPR obligations, including partnering with a PRO.
